Compliance & Risk
Transparent about what
we do — and don't.
Our scope of services, limitations, chain of custody procedures, data handling, environmental coordination, and insurance overview — so clients and partners can make informed decisions.
What We Do
Scope of services
Disposition & Removal
We assess, remove, and coordinate disposition of surplus laboratory and industrial equipment under contract.
Logistics & Documentation
Chain of custody, transfer records, and disposition pathway documentation — built into every engagement.
Resale & Recycling Coordination
Equipment is redeployed through mLab Supply or processed through vetted recycling channels with certificates where required.
Reporting
Operational and transactional reporting at agreed cadence. Not financial, tax, or legal advice.
Not in Our Scope
For these matters, engage qualified licensed appraisers, accountants, legal counsel, or other authorized professionals.
Accountability
Chain of custody procedures
We maintain a documented chain of custody from pickup through final disposition. Specific requirements — format, retention period — can be addressed in engagement terms.
01
Pickup Documentation
Signed release or transfer from the client confirming scope, date, and handover.
02
In-Transit Records
Records of movement and custody identifying who held assets and where.
03
Disposition Documentation
Resale, recycling, or other disposition pathway recorded with date and counterparty.
04
Client Reporting
Summary documentation per batch or at project close to support audit and compliance.
Data Handling
Equipment with storage devices
Some equipment may contain data storage (hard drives, embedded memory). We do not provide data-erasure or cybersecurity services.
Client Responsibility
Data sanitization is the client's responsibility before release unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
Our Position
Where we take custody of equipment with storage, we treat it as physical asset only; we do not access or process data.
No Guarantee
We do not warrant that equipment is free of data or that third-party buyers will sanitize data. Clients with data-sensitive equipment should sanitize before handover.
For HIPAA, ITAR, or similar regimes, clients must ensure compliance before transfer.
Environmental
Disposal compliance coordination
We coordinate removal and disposition in line with standard environmental and disposal expectations. We do not provide environmental or regulatory advice.
Resale & Recycling
We work with counterparties operating in accordance with applicable requirements and document disposition pathway for client records.
Hazardous Materials
Equipment with hazardous or regulated components is identified where practicable; disposition coordinated with qualified facilities.
Client Obligations
Clients remain responsible for site-level environmental compliance, permits, and reporting unless explicitly assumed in a signed agreement.
We recommend involving your EHS or compliance teams early so scope and documentation meet internal and regulatory needs.
Coverage
Insurance overview
We maintain insurance appropriate to our operations. Specific certificate requests, additional insured status, or minimum limits can be discussed during engagement setup.
General Liability
Third-party bodily injury and property damage arising from our operations, subject to policy terms and limits.
Transport / Cargo
Equipment in transit when we arrange or perform transport, subject to policy terms, limits, and exclusions.
Additional Coverages
Auto, workers' compensation where applicable, and other policies required for our activities.
Policy terms, limits, exclusions, and retention apply. This overview is for general information only and does not amend or replace actual insurance policies or contract terms. Clients should consult their own risk and legal teams for adequacy of coverage.
Responsible Disposition
Recovered equipment is redeployed — not discarded.
Through mLab Supply, equipment processed by pForm is evaluated and relisted for active scientific use — supporting both recovery value and responsible disposition.
